Tomorrow we remember a friend.......


Last Saturday I lost a friend.  He also happened to be my ex-husband and the father of my kids, but that was long ago.  For quite awhile we didn't like each other very much but after the bad years we gradually became friends again.  Rick was crazy in a good way, and also very very irritating  in a good way.  He wouldn't have Iced tea in a restaurant cause it cost too much but he would plunk down a hundred bucks for a piece of pottery if he liked it. 

Rick was stubborn.  He knew he wasn't well and hadn't been for some time but going to the DR was something he didn't like to do.  This time I think he waited too long.  Only the powers that be know when your time is up and Rick knew in his heart that this was his time.  I know he feels better now.  He can breathe easier  and relax and be with our daughter Jen.

We had lots of great memories and some very sad ones but  I choose to remember the good.

Farewell my friend.

Easter Weekend.  remembering how Mom & Dad would hide all the real eggs and the plastic ones around the house and yard.  It would snow most likely and we'd have to really hunt.  Later on thay would hide the plastic one for my kids  Some with money, some with rocks.  Jen always got the money, Brandon always got the rocks.  also little Chocolate eggs all over the moss rock fireplace.  Miss those days
