THE IDAHO SPRINGS TURKEY

We have a new resident of town. A female turley has decided this is a great place to live and has made herself at home. She has a regular route of places to go and people that feed her. A retired Science teacher that lives next to me and one of our oldest and animal friendly people included. She has become quite comfortable and a little bold. She chases cats and small dogs. I think our Lab, Jake, was a little too big for her to tangle with when she found herself on our deck. Up on the picnic table and then onto our roof. She was up there stomping around for a couple of hours and then flew down to the ground. I wasn't sure how well turkeys could fly. Remember the infamous WKRP episode? nuff said.
